Yamaha Music London announces 2026 ambassadors competition

Yamaha Music London has launched the fourth year of its flagship competition, offering emerging solo artists and duos based near London the opportunity to become 2026 Ambassadors. The initiative aims to support a new generation of musicians across various genres, including pop, rock, jazz, and soul.

Three acts will be selected to receive the ambassadorship, which provides industry access, mentorship, and professional development opportunities. The programme serves as a platform for unsigned talent, building on the success of previous participants.

Last year’s cohort, Cian Downing, Codyy, Kevin Davy White, Matt Kent, and Liv Lester, performed at venues across London and Europe, received expert guidance, and produced professional music videos in partnership with the store.

Reflecting on the experience, Downing said: “Winning the Yamaha Music London Ambassadorship has been a huge step forward for my career and has been invaluable for my profile and self-confidence as an artist. The Yamaha Music London team has been so supportive and accommodating every step of the way.”

The 2026 Ambassador Prize Package includes:

  • Official Ambassadorship: A 12-month role representing the brand at various performances and events.

  • Yamaha Instrument: The opportunity to select and perform with a Yamaha instrument.

  • Professional Mentorship: One-to-one career guidance from industry specialists.

  • Recording Time: A high-quality session in a professional studio.

  • Promotional Content: A professionally produced showcase video and features in online marketing campaigns.

  • PR Support: Assistance in growing an audience and connecting with industry figures.

  • In return, the selected Ambassadors will collaborate with the Yamaha Music London team to document their progress and create original content for social channels.

Finalists will be invited to perform original material during live showcases in front of a panel of industry professionals. Applicants must be available for semi-finals held between 18 and 20 March at a central London venue, with the grand final taking place on 26 March at the Yamaha Music London store. From these performances, three winners will be appointed for the 2026 term.
