SoundCloud has launched two new additions to its Artist and Artist Pro subscription, with the aim of giving creators the tools they need to distribute, monetise, and grow their audience in one place.
SoundCloud will eliminate its distribution revenue share at the end of November 2025, enabling artists to keep 100% of their royalties starting with the next payout cycle. This includes distribution on all major platforms, including: TikTok, Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music, and 50+ more.
SoundCloud will offer direct fan-to-artist support built right into profiles, with zero commission from SoundCloud, as well as on demand vinyl where artists can turn tracks into vinyl without leaving SoundCloud. Additionally, artists can also showcase their off platform purchase options and merchandise directly alongside their music.
Artists who monetise directly on SoundCloud have always kept 100% of their SoundCloud royalties. This update extends that same benefit to distribution royalties, which are artist’s earnings from platforms like TikTok, Spotify and YouTube Music. Along with passing through 100% of distribution royalties to artists and improving distribution pricing, SoundCloud is also expanding fan-to-artist connections with its new Fan Support feature.
