JBL introduces Professional Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping Column Loudspeakers at ISE

HARMAN Professional Solutions has announced the debut of its updated JBL Professional Intellivox Active Digital Beam Shaping Column loudspeakers, now featuring Dante networked audio support.

The 13 newly introduced arrays are the next generation replacements for all previous models in the Intellivox, DSX, DS and HP-DS product families.

Combining multiple drivers with advanced digital signal processing and integrated multi-channel amplifiers, the new models enable precise digital beam shaping. JBL’s Digital Directivity Synthesis (DDS) Beam Shaping technology allows users to define where sound should and should not be projected. By tailoring coverage areas and minimising reflections, DDS maximises the direct-to-reverberant ratio.

The discrete design makes the loudspeaker arrays ideal for installations where architectural preservation is critical. For integration flexibility, Intellivox supports Dante and analogue audio inputs alongside IP control connectivity.

Each system includes WinControl Software to assist with setup and monitoring of Intellivox installations. For system designers, the Digital Directivity Analysis (DDA) tool offers simulation and optimisation of directional behaviour, as well as modelling of other loudspeakers within the system.

“These Intellivox columns bring enhanced versatility with Dante audio networking,” said Steve Mathis, the senior product manager for installed acoustics at HARMAN Professional Solutions. “They continue to offer the sophisticated Intellivox sound and industry-leading beam shaping that designers and architects have trusted for years. We’re thrilled to bring these new models to market and see them elevate projects around the world.”
