After quickly establishing itself in high-profile fixed installations, CODA Audio has made an equally significant impact on India’s live events sector. Headliner discovers how leading rental supplier Electrocraft deployed CODA systems throughout a busy summer at prestigious events, leveraging the power and clarity obtainable from CODA's compact, lightweight enclosures.
One of the largest celebrations was the 11-day Navratri Festival at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, which drew approximately 10,000 attendees per day for performances, including renowned singer Falguni Pathak. For the second successive year, a CODA Audio system is selected.
Electrocraft deploys a main rig comprising 10 AiRAY per side, supplemented by three APS as outfills, and low-end reinforcement from 24 SCP-F sensor-controlled subs. Delay systems utilise a combination of AiRAY, CiRAY, ViRAY, and SCV-F subs. The consistent sonic signature across the combined VCA family ensures high-quality audio throughout the large venue.
“Working with CODA’s system for this scale of celebration was a rewarding challenge,” says Roger Drego, managing director and founder of Electrocraft, who first used the AiRAY system in late 2024. “The precision of the AiRAY and CiRAY, combined with the depth of the SCP and SCV subs, gave us the confidence to deliver a consistent impact across the venue. It’s rare to find technology that combines power, control, and clarity at this level, but CODA Audio makes it possible.”
Across Mumbai at the NSCI Dome, Electrocraft supplies a CODA Audio system for the YouTube Fanfest India 2025, which attracts a live audience of around 6,000. The compact nature of the CODA units is crucial, meeting a production requirement for the PA to be as discreet as possible to limit its impact on sight lines and broadcast cameras.
