DiGiCo unveils Quantum 225 DS mixing console

DiGiCo's Quantum 225DS has been revealed as the most recent addition to the Quantum lineup.

While the standard Quantum 225 features a left panel bracket, the new Quantum 225DS features two 17-inch TFT multitouch screens, as well as having 41 mini TFTs located across its surface. In addition, the console has a 12 x 12 matrix, four MADI ports and dual DMI ports for added connectivity.

Also included are eight analogue inputs, eight analogue outputs, four AES channels for local I/O, built-in UB MADI, optional optics, Fourier Audio and Waves SoundGrid integration, as well as dual PSU.

Furthermore, the console features DiGiCo’s optional Pulse software package, increasing its input channel count from 72 to 96, and raising its buss count from 26 to 48. The console’s Pulse feature set also includes Mix Minus, and DiGiCo’s optional T software package can be used for theatre-centric spaces.

we’re now honouring the many requests we’ve heard to offer a dual-screen version of our compact Quantum 225 Austin Freshwater, managing director at DiGiCo

An upgrade path is also available for existing Quantum 225 consoles.

“Paying heed to the adage ‘give the people what they want,’ we’re now honouring the many requests we’ve heard to offer a dual-screen version of our compact Quantum 225, and we have evolved it for maximum performance,” said Austin Freshwater, managing director at DiGiCo. “For our customers who already own a Q225, we’re also offering a hardware upgrade solution that will allow them to bring their desks up to the Quantum 225 DS spec, extending the capabilities and ROI of their existing inventories. As always, purchasing a DiGiCo console proves to be a smart investment indeed.”
