David Guetta leads UK’s highest earning DJs on Spotify

As festival season gets underway, a new study has revealed the highest-earning DJs on Spotify.

Conducted by entertainment site Spin Genie, the research examined monthly Spotify listens from the world’s most popular DJs and combined them with Spotify’s earnings per stream to reveal the DJs dominating people’s playlists in 2025.

David Guetta boasts 176,232 monthly listens on Spotify, earning him approximately £178,464 each month. Reflecting his presence in the electronic music scene, David Guetta is set to play at the UK’s popular electronic music festival, Creamfields, on Sunday, August 24th.

Calvin Harris, ranked second among DJs, earns approximately £159,738 per month from Spotify streams. The Scottish-born artist has over 64 million monthly streams, highlighting his continued dominance in the electronic music industry. This summer, he will headline a double residency at one of the world’s most renowned beach club destinations, Ushuaïa Ibiza.

Marshmello ranks third, attracting over 51 million monthly Spotify listeners and generating around £121,837 in monthly streaming revenue. French duo Daft Punk also came out on top, ranking highly for their distinctive sound and style that’s become a timeless influence on modern electronic music. They have a DJ Score of 8.29, driven by 7.5M searches and 22.9M Spotify streams.

Spin Genie also explored the highest-earning female DJs and found that Charlotte de Witte, Cascada and Deborah de Luca were among the biggest Spotify stars in 2025. De Witte is very popular on social media, with 3.8 million followers on Instagram and 1.6 million followers on TikTok, while Cascada has a discography of nostalgic hits that still comfortably find their place on the dance floor. Italian DJ Deborah de Luca is the third highest-performing female DJ, with an average of over 1.2 million monthly Spotify listeners, 2.8 million followers on Instagram and 1.2 million on TikTok.

The study also found that Guetta dominates Spotify with 74.4 million monthly listeners, yet ranks second in overall influence (DJ Score: 8.42). Alan Walker comes out on top with a score of 8.52/10, while Avicii remains hugely popular in 2025 with 16.8M Google searches and 37.4M monthly Spotify listeners, placing him sixth for spotify earnings but fourth overall when all metrics are considered.
