Dancefloor, the discovery platform and ticketing app for electronic music fans, has announced the launch of its Nightlife Dividend Programme, a new initiative designed to help sustain and empower the UK’s grassroots nightlife community.
A recent report by The Night Time Industries Association suggests rising costs and ongoing pressures mean the UK is losing three nightclubs every week and will have none left by 2030. To help the fight for survival of independent venues and promoters across the country, Dancefloor’s new model introduces a first-of-its-kind profit-sharing system built on collective success.
Every month, 25% of Dancefloor’s booking fees are pooled and redistributed back to the venues and promoters selling on the platform to provide a new, automatic revenue stream on top of existing ticket sales.
The Nightlife Dividend launches first in London, with more cities set to follow. It aims to create a fairer, more sustainable ecosystem for the dance music industry.
