Bad Bunny crowned top global artist for 2025 on Spotify

Bad Bunny has been named the most-streamed Wrapped artist on Spotify globally, with 19.8 billion streams this year alone. Wrapped reflects Spotify users’ listening habits, and every stream and playlist addition contributes. With this achievement, Bad Bunny becomes the first artist ever to claim the top spot four times.

Bad Bunny’s latest release, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos, is also this year’s Global Top Album, underscoring the worldwide embrace this year of Puerto Rico’s culture and music.

Bad Bunny first claimed the global top spot in 2020 followed by 2021 and 2022. Taylor Swift took the crown in 2023 and 2024. This year, after the release of a culturally defining album, Bad Bunny is back at number one globally.

In 2022, Spotify celebrated the Bunny three-peat by presenting him with a ring for each year he was Global Top Artist. This year Spotify continued that tradition by giving him a fourth ring during a tour stop in the Dominican Republic.

In partnership with Stillz and A1 Productions, Spotify helped bring to life a short film following Bad Bunny’s Sapo Concho as he journeys across the globe and witnesses how DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos has carried Puerto Rico’s sound to fans around the world. Watch the film below.

As part of Spotify’s long-standing commitment to supporting the next generation of musicians and industry professionals, the streaming app is partnering with Good Bunny Foundation and Rimas Foundation to launch The Mobile Academy, which will bring musical resources, training, and dedicated scholarships to students across Puerto Rico.
