At NAMM 2026, Avid will showcase the latest Pro Tools, Sibelius, and Avid VENUE innovations through a slate of tech previews, expert-led demos, and live sessions featuring award-winning engineers and producers.

Live from the booth: Elite engineers and creators share their secrets

Avid’s booth will host live sessions with some of the world’s most in-demand audio engineers, producers, and creators, who will share real-world workflows and artistic insights, including:

  • Andrew Scheps – mixing engineer and record producer (Adele, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Metallica, Jay-Z)

  • Young Guru – audio engineer and record producer (Jay-Z)

  • Josh Gudwin – mixing engineer (Justin Bieber and Bad Bunny)

  • Leandro “Dro” Hidalgo – record producer and audio engineer (Tyla, Wizkid)

Hands-on tech previews:

NAMM visitors can experience the latest Avid solutions across four focused demo pods:

  • Pro Tools (music creation): Preview advances include new MIDI Editing Mode, MPE (MIDI Polyphonic Expression) support, Track Pin, and enhanced Speech-to-Text, alongside Splice integration, MIDI Playlists, and Inner Circle rewards tools like Triaz Player, AutoBeat Lite, and Rendition Lite.

  • Nu·Studio (immersive + high-end audio): Making its first public showing at NAMM, Nu·Studio – the first modular, portable studio system designed for immersive audiovisual production – provides the setting for immersive demonstrations. Visitors can experience Dolby Atmos, Audio Vivid, and 360 Reality Audio workflows in Pro Tools Ultimate with the EUCON-powered Avid S6 control surface, MTRX II / MTRX Studio, HDX, and Sonarworks-powered room calibration, plus tech previews of Track Pin and expanded Speech-to-Text.

  • VENUE (live sound): Visitors can get a first look at VENUE 8.1, the new E6LX engines, and the addition of a high density Dante option and can discover how VENUE | S6L – reportedly the industry’s only fully unified live sound platform – powers immersive live productions with support for FLUX SPAT, L-Acoustics L-ISA, and d&b Soundscape, while delivering Pro Tools workflows for Virtual Soundcheck and 128-channel live recording over a single Ethernet cable.

  • Sibelius: Visitors can preview what’s coming in Sibelius 2026, including the new Dark Theme and cross-staff beaming. Highlights from 2025 include Staff Filters, expanded stave count, streamlined activation, and instant tier switching for education and composition.

Immersive audio and AI

Evolving audience expectations, the rise of spatial audio, and creators’ need for faster, more flexible workflows are redefining modern production. At NAMM Show 2026, Avid is addressing these demands with innovations in key areas.

Immersive audio is reshaping the way music, films, and live events are experienced. Avid continues to enhance its toolset in this area, making spatial workflows more widely available.

Pro Tools now offers integrated support for Dolby Atmos, Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, and UWA Audio Vivid, with features to enable seamless mix conversion across formats within a single session.

For live sound, VENUE supports immersive systems such as FLUX SPAT, L-Acoustics L-ISA, and d&b Soundscape. The addition of high-density Dante support for VENUE | S6L adds the network bandwidth and routing flexibility needed to deploy high-channel-count immersive setups.

Meanwhile, AI-powered tools in Pro Tools and Sibelius help automate repetitive tasks and unlock new efficiencies. Pro Tools now features Speech-to-Text analysis, SoundFlow macros, and enhanced ARA plugin support, while Sibelius users benefit from AI-powered chord symbol generation.

An ever-expanding ecosystem of partners brings production tools into the Pro Tools environment. Avid’s Inner Circle program, ARA plugin support, and expanded partner integrations are adding third-party tools directly into creators’ workflows. Whether it’s tapping into Splice’s royalty-free sound library or crafting synth lines with Native Instruments Massive X, Avid is expanding what’s possible inside Pro Tools.

Avid is also spotlighting its commitment to education through the Avid Learning Partner program, which connects certified training providers with Avid’s expert curriculum and industry-recognised certifications.

NAMM attendees can meet Avid’s Learning team at the booth to learn more about the program, which helps students develop the skills necessary for today’s audio workflows.
