ARK360º To Hold Immersive Audio Workshop For Engineers and Producers

ARK360º is holding an immersive audio workshop in London for engineers, producers and artists in November 2022. The workshop will introduce creatives, artists and music producers to Sony’s 360 Reality Audio (360RA) and Dolby Atmos immersive formats in order to elevate their music production skills.

ARK360º claims to be the first studio in the UK to support Sony’s 360RA and Dolby Atmos studio playback. Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound technology is designed to allow users to build and experience immersive audio on a range of platforms, content and devices.

“Specialising in skyrocketing stereo masters into Dolby Atmos and 360RA, we’ve worked with artists such as Dua Lipa, Arlo Parks, A$AP Ferg, Kojey Radical and Rick Ross,” explained a company representative.

The event will feature a masterclass by a leading immersive audio engineer whose recent credits include Dua Lipa and Arlo Parks, and a panel made up of Auntie Flo, Cktrl, Wu-Lu and Maria Chiara Argirò.

The free workshop is only open to people between the ages of 15 and 30 and takes place on November 14 at Hackney Wick’s White Post Bar.

During the succeeding week, the 20 participants will be trained in how to use Sony's 360RA at ARK360º’s state-of-the-art studio suite.

The workshop will culminate in a showcasing of three tracks by each of the participants, plus exclusive tracks by Auntie Flo, Wu-Lu and Maria Chiara Argirò.

Each participant will receive eight hours of classes, one-on-one support, free “premium industry standard” headphones and a plugin licence, and their artist profile will be promoted on social media during the event’s ‘compilation campaign’.
